EU INDIA 2006 Guide for conser of hist masonry struct in seism areas

The research carried out within the project “Improving the seismic resistance of cultural heritage buildings” (contract ALA/95/23/2003/077-122), funded by the EU-India Cross-Cultural Programme, has included experimental and analytical study of four historical constructions of prime importance in Europe and India, namely Monastery of Jerónimos in Lisbon, Cathedral of Majorca, Cathedral of Reggio Emilia and Qutb Minar in New Delhi. The Project has lead to the proposal of a set of possible interventions oriented to preserve or upgrade the seismic response of such buildings.
